Phạm vi nghiên cứu

– Đề tài nghiên cứu thuật ngữ ngành Kỹ thuật xây dựng công trình giao thông (KTXDCTGT) theo hướng hoạch định ngôn ngữ dựa trên mối liên hệ từ vựng, tiếp cận thuật ngữ theo hướng từ dưới lên bằng cách nghiên cứu mối liên hệ thuật ngữ Thiết kế cầu đường ô tô triết xuất từ văn bản và khảo sát ý kiến sinh viên Cầu-Đường Anh. Sự đối chứng giữa người nghiên cứu có chuyên môn là ngôn ngữ Anh với các chuyên gia ngành KTXDCTGT là một điểm nổi bật trong đề tài này.

– Đề tài xác định, triết xuất, phân tích mối liên hệ từ vựng của thuật ngữ trong cuốn sách Thiết kế Cầu đường ô tô (Richard & Jay, 2007), dùng cho môn học chính trong ngành KTXDCTGT. Quá trình nghiên cứu có tham vấn và đối chứng của các chuyên gia ngành KTXDCTGT.

– Đề tài đồng thời khảo sát ý kiến của sinh viên đối với nguồn thuật ngữ hiện tại so với nguồn thuật ngữ theo hướng cung cấp kiến thức nhằm tìm hiểu mức độ  hài lòng của sinh viên về nguồn thuật ngữ hiện có để học kiến tức chuyên môn và ngôn ngữ.

– Trong suốt quá trình nghiên cứu từ bước triết xuất thuật ngữ, xác định và phân tích mối liên hệ, dịch thuật ngữ sang tiếng Việt và kiểm chứng kết quả đều có tham vấn và đối chứng của các chuyên gia. Trong đề tài này, chỉ mối liên hệ từ vựng trong thuật ngữ tiếng Anh được nghiên cứu kèm theo dịch tiếng Việt tương đương.

Đóng góp về mặt lý thuyết

Hầu hết các công trình nghiên cứu thuật ngữ trong nước và ở nước ngoài xem xét thuật ngữ như những đơn vị rời rạc hoặc chỉ đề cấp đến mối liên hệ tầng bậc  “thuộc loại” và “là bộ phận” nhưng đề tài này xem xét thuật ngữ trong mối liên hệ đa chiều, vì vậy đóng góp đáng kể cho lý thuyết Thuật ngữ học theo hướng Ngữ nghĩa học từ vựng. Đề tài đóng góp cho phương pháp giảng dạy chuyên ngành bằng tiếng Anh, nêu rõ mối liên kết chặt chẽ giữa yếu tố thuật ngữ và yếu tố ngôn ngữ trong hệ thống thuật ngữ, do đó vài trò của giáo viên dạy ngôn ngữ trong nghiên cứu thuật ngữ và đào tạo các môn học chuyên môn bằng tiếng Anh được khẳng định: Họ không những dạy kiến thức ngôn ngữ mà còn góp phần dạy kiến thức chuyên ngành cho sinh viên; nguồn thuật ngữ có thể được hoạch định (quản lý) để trở thành một công cụ, phương pháp giảng dạy hiệu quả. Trên phương diện hoạch định (quản lý thuật ngữ), đề tài khảo cứu và giới thiệu một phương pháp quản lý thuât ngữ XDCTGT khác biệt so với cách tiếp cận thông thường cho kết quả là nguồn thuật ngữ phản ảnh bản thể của môn học, cung cấp kiến thức chuyên môn và kiến thức ngôn ngữ.

Đóng góp về phương pháp luận

Phương pháp nghiên cứu của đề tài cũng có nhiều khác biệt so với các nghiên cứu thuật ngữ trước đây: Mối liên hệ thuật ngữ được nghiên cứu trong ngữ cảnh sử dụng cụ thể trong khi phần lớn các công trình trước nghiên cứu thuật ngữ trong từ điển. Thuật ngữ được ngiên cứu trong mối liên hệ với nhau chứ không được coi là các đơn vị riêng lẻ. Tất cả các thuật ngữ được xem xét một cách hệ thống theo hướng tiếp cận từ dưới lên. Xét theo khía cạnh khái niệm thì tương đương giữa hai ngôn ngữ được giải quyết triệt để và những thiếu sót hoặc chưa đồng nhất về mặt khái niệm của các thuật ngữ tương đương cũng lộ rõ và được giải quyết. Việc tiếp cận hoạch định thuật ngữ từ dưới lên cũng được thể hiện qua quá trình khảo sát ý kiến sinh viên là người sử dụng. Ý nghĩa về phương pháp luận còn là sự bắt tay giữa các chuyên gia XDCTGT và người nghiên cứu có chuyên môn là Ngôn ngữ Anh.  Nghiên cứu thuật ngữ rất khó có thể thành công đơn thuần từ phía ngôn ngữ học hoặc từ phía chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực chuyên môn. Để đạt được kết quả tốt nhất cần có sự phối hợp từ cả hai phía. Tính mới trong phương pháp còn thể hiện ở khung phân tích dựa trên hàm từ vựng và mối liên hệ thuật ngữ được phát triển bởi các học giải trên thế giới với sự thêm, bớt, điều chỉnh cho phù hợp với mục đích của đề tài và nguồn dữ liệu. Trên thực tế, chưa có công trình nào áp dụng hàm từ vựng tới mức rộng rãi và triệt để như đề tài này. Hàm từ vựng trong lý thuyết ý nghĩa văn bản có rất nhiều ưu việt để phân tích, mô tả và trình bày thuật ngữ.

12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong thực tiễn:

Trước hết, nhu cầu của sinh viên đối với nguồn thuật ngữ theo hướng cung cấp kiến thức được xác định để hỗ trợ tốt hơn cho sinh viên trong quá trình học tập. Không chỉ sinh viên Việt nam mà sinh viên trên thể giới học chuyên ngành bằng tiếng Anh khi tiếng Anh không phải là ngôn ngữ mẹ đẻ có thể hưởng lợi từ kết quả của nghiên cứu. Kết quả có thể được các trường đại học đào tạo ngành XDCTGT sử dụng để điều chỉnh các chiến lược ngôn ngữ, đặc biệt là cung cấp thuật ngữ để dạy chuyên ngành bằng tiêng Anh và triển khai các dự án nghiên cứu theo hướng mới để hỗ trợ cho sinh viên. Nguồn thuật ngữ là sản phẩm của cách tiếp cận này sẽ là tài liệu tra cứu và tham khảo cho những đối tượng sử dụng khác như phiên dịch, biên dịch, giảng viên dạy tiếng Anh chuyên ngành. Với công nghệ máy tính hiện đại, hệ thống thuật ngữ sẽ được  trình bày trong môi trường máy tính phản ánh mối liên hệ đa chiều dưới dạng sơ đồ, hình vẽ, biểu đồ tư duy, và các đuôi liên kết (tags) cung cấp thông tin đa dạng, đầy đủ, hệ thống cho người sử dụng. Kết quả nghiên cúu cũng đặt nền móng trong việc áp dụng trí tuệ nhân tạo để quản lý thuật ngữ trong ngành KTXDCTGT. Dữ liệu thuật ngữ của đề tài có thể được sử dụng để biên soạn cẩm nang thuật ngữ theo hướng cung cấp kiến thức.

13. Những hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo:

– Cần phân tích thêm dữ liệu để tìm hiểu về các hàm từ vựng còn lại và mở rộng nghiên cứu sang thuật ngữ của các môn học khác trong ngành KTXDCTGT.

– Cần khảo sát sâu hơn nữa ý kiến của người sử dụng về ngồn thuật ngữ trình bày theo hướng cung cấp kiến thức.

– Tiếp tục nghiên cứu thuật ngữ theo hướng Khung ngữ nghĩa trong ngành KTXDCTGT

13. Further research directions, if any:

There are Lexical Functions that have not fully revealed their usefulness for HBD term relation analysis, but xổ số hôm nay miền nam reasons for this have not been clearly articulated. Only xổ số hôm nay miền nam identified Lexical Relations were triangulated with specialist experts, but there remains unidentified Lexical Relations and xổ số hôm nay miền nam identified one have not been categorized exhaustively from different dimensions, therefore, they should be further refined and analyzed.

– xổ số hôm nay miền nam Verbal Collocations based on LRs are major findings of xổ số hôm nay miền nam thesis, however, much further investigation should be conducted as regards xổ số hôm nay miền nam meaning of auxiliaries and realization verbs. There remain some uninvestigated Lexical Relations in xổ số hôm nay miền nam category of Verbal Collocations. It may not be true that these kinds of relations do not exist in HBD text-book but because xổ số hôm nay miền nam researcher has not been able to identify and categorize them.
